Six weeks in, an update from Compass & Covenant Genealogy
Believe it or not, it has already been six weeks since I officially stopped saying "I’m going to start a genealogy business" and finally thought, "Right, first job—get my brand together and create a website."
And just like that, Compass and Covenant Genealogy stepped out of the recesses and into reality.

If you’ve been following along on our Facebook page or keeping up with us over on LinkedIn, you’ll know things have been wonderfully busy. Over the past six weeks, I’ve leaned heavily into what makes this work so magical: sharing my own personal searches, digging up long-forgotten family stories, and opening up the archive box to show what "audit-grade" research actually looks like in practice.
And it’s getting noticed. People are responding to the blend of high-end corporate precision and deeply personal, storytelling-driven genealogy. Whether we're talking about unravelling mysterious ancestral branches or tracing ancient DNA connections, it turns out I’m not the only one who gets completely hooked on a good historical puzzle.

When you first dive into the marketing world, it’s easy to feel that familiar rush of excitement—followed swiftly by the quiet realisation that building momentum takes time. Platforms grow brick by brick, connection by connection. As the old saying goes, Rome wasn’t built in a day. You have to put your services out there, hold your nerve through the quiet spells, and trust the process while the digital seeds take root.
