To provide comprehensive family history research, I may collect and process the following types of data:

Contact Information: Your name, email address, phone number, and postal address.

Family History & Archival Data: Names, dates of birth/marriage/death, geographic locations, occupations, and historical records related to your ancestors or living relatives provided by you.

Genetic Genealogy Data: DNA match lists, chromosome data, or ancestral ethnicity estimates, only if you explicitly share access to your testing profiles (e.g., AncestryDNA, MyHeritage, GEDmatch) for research purposes.

Payment Details: Invoicing and billing information necessary to process transactions securely (payment card data is processed securely via third-party gateways and is not stored by me).

Purpose of collecting data

I only collect and process your data when there is a lawful basis to do so. The specific purposes include:

Fulfilling Our Contract: To conduct the genealogical research, analyze historical records, and compile the family trees or reports you have commissioned.

Communication: To respond to your initial inquiries, provide progress updates, and manage our ongoing client relationship.

Analysing Genetic Connections: To identify biological links, break through research "brick walls," or map ancestral origins as requested in your research brief.

Business Operations & Legal Compliance: To manage billing, maintain proper accounting records, and comply with any applicable legal or regulatory obligations.
